Africa Expeditions

Africa Expeditions are the first travel to another country you do in Gladiatus. There a new and exciting expeditions are revealed.

Blood Cave

Blood Cave is the third expedition in Africa. There`s a rumour amongst the superstitious natives that magical rituals are held here. The historiography of the empire writes of no such events taking place there. The fact is though, that the cave`s cooling shadows attracts deadly animals.

Bridge

Bridge is the second expedition in Africa and while it takes a lot to adapt once you arrive in Africa, this expedition seems to be a bit more reasonable. Fierce and aggressive tribe. In the face of the climate and the local geology, wooden bridge constructions are not practical. For this reason the Empire built this unique piece of Roman engineering here in Africa. The Umpokta consider it a passage, which connects the world of life and the world of the dead. Numerous misunderstandings arise, due to this. Gladiators that guard the bridge are seen as guardians, who watch over the access to the afterlife.

Caravan

Caravan is the sixth expedition in Africa and is very fruitful and boosting expedition. Enemies are not impossibly hard and they are more than generous. A small shadow over the relationship between the Umpokta tribe and the Empire is this hijacked caravan. There are still plenty of goods in the desert belonging to our citizens. The negotiations are being drawn out because of communication problems.

Cliff Jumper

Cliff Jumper is the eighth expedition in Africa. In the religious life of the Umpokta a surreal ritual has become tradition. On every third new moon the villages` priests meet and choose someone especially gifted. This person is accompanied by a procession to Cliffjumper Mountain. On arrival the chosen ones throw themselves jubilantly off the cliff to their deaths, it is said that it is a gift to the spirits. Aside from the spirits the numerous wild animals that have settled in this area also get some satisfaction from it.

Lost Harbour

Lost Harbour is the fourth expedition in Africa. It's the last expedition in Africa before going to Germania for the first time so enjoy is as you won't be coming back in a long time. It has interesting dungeons and expedition enemies. Once a thriving Viking outpost, it has in the meantime become a shadow of its former self. A textbook example of the empire and its allies. The strange power of voodoo forced the blonde giants to their knees. It apparently still holds findings from the houses and ships of the Vikings, that aren`t of any interest to the Umpokta.

Mesoai Oasis

Mesoai Oasis is the seventh expedition in Africa. Fruitfully it lies in the desert and fearful are its dangers. As one of the few oases here in this region it is a place of refuge for many animals looking to quench their thirst. The shady trees offer shelter from the sun and offer predators the possibility of getting some food.

Umpokta Tribe

Umpokta Tribe is the fifth expedition in Africa. Really important one and is the first expedition that you will encounter for your big return to Africa after being in Germania and Italy. It has really crucial dungeons. It houses the Africa's high command. As far as the Empire is concerned, it is the high-point of civilisation amongst the savages of the savannah and deserts. Primitive house construction and religious superstition are very prevalent in everyday Umpokta life. With their masks and threatening songs they frighten the tenderly strung amongst our citizens.

Voodoo Temple

Voodoo Temple is the first expedition in Africa. It is the generous gift made by the Empire for the Umpokta. After the foundation walls and the building material were delivered, the Umpokta banished all Roman architects and finished constructing the building themselves. Religious reasons were pushed forward. Certainly the temple probably holds many secrets and treasures, which are protected by force of arms.
